How you can help us give the sick kids at Valley Children's Hospital a good Christmas.
Since Liam's passing on December 15th 2015, we have successfully held two toy drives in his memory. One directly following CDH awareness week (March 25th-31st), and the other on December 22nd 2016. After doing two in one year, I've decided to revamp the toy drive and make it just once every year. We will collect items all year long then put together care packages and deliver them to Valley Children's Hospital right before Christmas. This will allow us to reach more kids.
We are currently accepting donations for our 2017 Toy Drive in Liam's memory:
Stuffed animals
Smalls toys (Barbies, hotwheels, playdough, tea sets, etc)
Craft sets
Coloring books for all ages
Color pencils, crayons, markers
Notebooks/journals
Blankets
Baby toys
Baby teethers
Baby blankets
Baby socks
Baby hats
Tooth brushes and toothpaste
Books for all ages
Granola bars
Healthy snacks
and more...
Our packages not only go to the sick kids, but to the NICU parents who are often forgotten. Last year, at Christmas, we were able to deliver 59 complete care packages and lots of loose toys to sick kids and NICU parents. We include information on CDH and our website in every care package we deliver. We want our 2017 drive to be even bigger!
